Thinking about trying to set one up at a local fishing supply place to ensure that all the new guys gettin into it are pointed in the right direction and arent making mistakes on small fish ect. Any interest or ■■■■■■■■?
Don’t do it. Right now, its still a good thing. If you start inviting everyone in the lowcountry and explaining exactly how to do it, its going to destroy it.

im not saying im inviting every jackazz out there on the water. My proposal is to educate those that are already getting into it to do it right. NOT creating more giggers but attempting to make the beginners courteous and learn how to not kill everything in sight.
I’m interested in Leaning how to gig correctly from a kayak. I Would gladly fill you tank and cooler for a ride along lesson.
me too, but on my SUP. what lights should I get?
This is all you need Pea.

Uh oh
In my head im thinking of Shem Creek goes gigging… Kayaks, paddleboards, jon boats, hot dog pontoons, spears and spotlights… It would be an interesting class for newbies but what would be the focus?

I’m from the upstate and only get to Charleston a couple times per year. My son and I went gigging once last year with no results. We have fixed up a Jon boat that he uses for cat fishing and we will use for gigging when down there. We will be down the 3rd week of June and I would really appreciate being able to learn more about gigging. We spend most of our time fishing but like to go out a couple of nights when we are there.
Let me know if you set something up for around that time or just give me some pointers.
I would appreciate anything.
