Anyone got any plans to go gigging this weekend? Looked like a good midnight tide to get out there and pole the incoming.
As far as best river / inlet to go, I’ve been in the Stono lately, but it’s been fairly muddy, would the cooper / ashley / wando be better? Or is closer to the coast better?
First timer, so not trying to get your honey hole, just gleaning knowledge from you old timers who know your stuff. Wife gave me the “go ahead” since she’ll be working all weekend…can’t pass up the green light to spend all night on the boat!

The creek I started in last night was cloudy yes but once I got in the bigger water it cleared up pretty (**() good last night. Only got two but could see pretty well!
I found the ashley is worthless and the stono is bad. the only place i have been able to see is the big water and with the wind I have only been able to get out to it one night!
Went to the boat landing to check it out over the weekend…whitecaps on the water don’t get me all amped up to go out on the john boat, especially when it’s dark. I’m planning on Wednesday night when the wind settles down a bit

We played the wind and it worked out well for us. We had good clear water for four hours or so. Saw plenty of fish. Average night for us for only sticking the incoming.

Man, that’s a good looking hiding spot…if not for artificial light! Water clarity is clearer than anything I’ve seen thus far this year…looks like you picked a good time to go!
