don’t know if we will have any striper luck but am going to put in around cloud’s creek on thurs. morning and try to crappie and stripers. it may be muddy but going to try it anyway. will give a report if there are any survivors. LOL LOL

Coolbreeze, I launched out of spinners on the 6th and there were a lot of fish on my ff back in that cove. they were in 10 to 20’ in the back of the cove. they were small and woud not hit herring. they were suspended all over, I was thinking at the time they could be crappie.
we put in at camp barstow (cloud’s creek) and marked plenty of fish. went up to little river landing on up to the rock on the river. not one bite. sae a couple of little bitty ones being caught but most had nada.
was hoping for at least a short striper to mess up all of my crappie rigs; but not a chance.
it was still a good 4 hours on the water. weather was great and the boat ran like brand new. was a little worried with it being on the trailor for 3 months full of fuel and stabil.
might give the stripers a chance this weekend.
Coolbreeze, phishinphan and I are going out saturday morning. I also pulled stevenkran into the flotilla. We are going to launch mid lake and steven is launching at pine island. Figured we would try the divide and conquer technique.
I’m looking forward to it!
Dad said he would come out saturday…but he is trying to convince me mid-morning. I want to be out there before the sun is up!

I launch mine all the time by myself. All you need is a pair of waders for the winter. Or go up to koon, the dock is right beside the ramp.
when i fished last friday i fished hollow creek and tore them up just no keepes. gonna be out next tuesday morning. good luck to all this weekend let us know where they are.

Yeah, it was midlands striper club. We ended up with 4 shorts landed. We had a lot of short hits and used up all of our bait for a change(3 dozen). Lots of bait and fish on the FF up in Bufallo. Lot of boats too.
Was a member with my dad until about 4 yrs ago…I think dad is still a member and has been for about 8 yrs…We don’t fish many of the tournaments anymore…used to ALWAYS look forward to that 3rd Saturday of every month and the end of the yr awards in Jan are the greatest! I used to LOVE getting raffle tickets. I think I’ve won about 500 1 oz leads over my time! Not many reels and rods but dad has lucked up on a few

Their web site shows it only took 4 fish weighing a total of 14+ lbs to win the tournament. Second place was 12+ pounds total weight. Sounds like it was a tough day for everyone.
