Glasses fog

I’ve recently started using buffs and I am wondering what is the solution for glasses fog.

I got a agenda full head and neck buff that covers your shoulders. All the sleeve style ones don’t fiy comfortable on me. I’m very happy with the fit. No compression or strangulation feeling and covers all but your eyes. Just some info on a good buff for bigger head and necked people.

the world is coming to an end …seriously though do they fog up when you are moving or just sitting still? are they Costas? I’ve had similar, but if I moved them up my nose a little and allowed for more air flow it seemed to help…if they are Maui Jim’s then me thinks you are screwed

Just uncover your nose and this should take care of it. Good for you. Skin cancer can kill you and comes in several forms.

Can’t believe it ,the last of the rebel holdouts is surrendering.Next thing you know ,40 will be standing on a yeti, flyfishing with a huk shirt on,not that there’s anything wrong with that .haha.Might even start patronizing some local tackle shops instead of walmart.Good for you, skin cancer is no joke.I’ve been cut on ,quite a few times, with my scotch/irish skin and all.Wish they would have come out with some of this stuff years ago.As for the fogging problem, they make anti-fog wipes for glasses ,but as bonzo said air circulation is the key.Don’t know what to do about your big head and no neck.Lol

Well If it is any consolation to you ole timer its more of a ski mask than a buff and is what racers where under helmets. Formally known as a balaclava.

I go to PSA all the time, they respect their customers. Never once have I been hawked on like I’m a theif or talked to like an idiot or a outsider because I’m not the look they like. I have a neck its just like 5 inches tall and 19 inches around.

Ill where a company shirt that I support like a SOUTH SIDE BAIT AND TACKLE shirt or maybe a charter guys shirt but I don’t think HUK gear is anything special, it just has strong branding and good marketing as does Yeti but Yeti is at least a legit good item for those who need a sturdy cooler with long ice retention. But any cooler you open and close in Charleston will retain ice about the same. I’ve done side by sides with yetis and other coolers and the ice melts similar if you open them or put stuff in them all day. If you want extra cold ice salt it. But no one needs a yeti for a short trip. If you fish every day and use it then you can save a little on ice and a little hassle by letting it stay icy from day to day. The big yetis are some heavy mofos and take up way more room. If its pulling double duty as a casting platform and a cooler then its understandable to invest in a heavy duty cooler.
I’m soon to start fly fishing but I won’t be one of those fly guys. I’m starting for the challenge, light tackle battle and those times were a fly is a good option. Ill post when I get some impressive catches on it, but I won’t be the guy with the rod in his mouth because he saw everyone else do it.

Flywatt I’m trying to avoid the bugs also so the nose out or pulling them off my face will get me bit.

Bonzo I can’t buy expensive shades, all my shades get lost, stole and scratched lenses. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Calcuttas and at like 20 bones I won’t feel like I took a hit when they go. I can get a pair for offshore, inshore and overcast and not spend half the amount of a pair of cos

For shades go to Sierra Trading Post online and you can get some nice shades for a much better price. They also have outdoor gear clothes and deals on fly rods etc.

Good on ya with the buff might save some cutting and stitches down the road. Chemo sucks as it’s putting me on my butt every 2-3 weeks right now.

For good, inexpensive shades, try Suncloud. Made by Smith Optics, under $50, good warranty.

X2 sunclouds!

Best thing that works for me is lowering the buff a little or wearing the glasses off of your face a little more for air to pass through more easily like Bonzo said!

Oh, and the sunclouds aren’t bad either! I won a pair in the by the numbers tourney last year and they make for a good back up for my 580G’s

bonzo’s right

the end is near

Spit on your glasses, rub it around, wipe it off and as extra benefit, friends won’t ask to borrow your sunglasses.

Everyone can’t be as cool as me and you 40.

I think he’s pretty dang funny. I’m told I have a warped sense of humor though.

Burning small mouth and nostril holes helps with fogging too. Put the mask on and mark your nostrils and where you want mouth holes with a Sharpie (then take it off, obviously). Heat a pointed piece of metal like a rigging needle with a lighter for a few seconds. When it is heated, it melts a small hole right through the Buff (move the needle around while it is still hot to make a larger hole)and leaves a clean edge around the holes. I burned larger holes for each nostril and a line of small holes for my mouth in my Buff a few years ago and the fogging issue is gone for the most part.

I like that idea. May have to try it on one of mine, thanks!
