Gnat feast

Got out today and the gnats were killers. Caught 1 flounder and red under slot (tagged & released) and fought something large for awhile but couldn’t get it to the boat or on top to get a look. Back home by 11:30. Bosn, think I need to get out the top waters. Threw swim baits and worms.

I was out with BOSN this am on the wando. Slow slow slow. Had 6 trout 1 red 1 blue. Worked very hard for them. Lots of glass minnows out so bigger bait should fill in soon along with a better tw bite. Been slow lately

Sorry the fishing has been slow but it makes me feel a tad better since I can’t get down and fish. We were down Friday for one last look at CoC and man did the water look inviting. Those gnats will drive you nuts!

No Gnats from Haddrells. Stuff worked amazing and smells great! Tried it for the first time this morning and was really happy with it. That was the highlight of my trip this morning!!!

ejsulli200, guess I better get some of that! Optiker, I’ll probably try the wando before weeks end. I maybe back to work next week. These last three months of recovery has shown me how nice it would be to retire. Four more.

Obviously BOSN needs a better PR person.

BOSN is my main fishing partner and neighbor and friend. Retired Coastie and fellow board member of SSWA. And usually out catches me. PeaPod can attest.

I know of him here on CF though I don’t know him personally. I was just funnin’ DDS2.

Not sure I would use Peapod to verify anything. He has been known to embellish.

It definitely makes me feel better that it’s slow for you guys. I’m just getting started in learning to fish down here and was skunked yesterday when I went out with my best bud for his birthday. My wife and I went out on Saturday and caught a few whiting which was nice. Nothing fancy, but at this point we’re glad to catch anything.
