Partners-Ship,

Thurs, Fri, and Sat ought to be good days with the temp drop. I have been going through the exact same thing. This warm and humid weather has been keeping them in the bushes till dark. As soon as the temps drop, they are coming!!! And, those big boys will make mistakes in the daylight. I use the cameras only to see what is there. Trust me when I tell you…those cameras don’t even get close to everything. Critters walk by them all the time and it don’t get a pic of them. You know he is there now. You know what he looks like. Forget about the camera now. The camera is only going to frustrate you further. The more you check the camera, the more you diminish your chances of killing him because you are leaving scent behind. He knows you have been there. The best thing to do is pull the camera out completely, or just don’t check it until you put corn out of something.

If it makes you feel any better, this dirt bag is making me lose sleep too. He has a big rack, and he is pushing 200lbs. And, he is smart. He didn’t get big being dumb by popping out in the open like a little spike.
