Got a 30 minute late start due to GPS not locking in. DEF want gps when planning a 50+ mile trip. Left HHI at 0500. Feels peaceful running 30 kts at night. Ocean was nice and calm. Made it out to R7 and caught 2 nice reef donkeys on jigs within 5 min of being there. Wanted to push out deep to 150’. Around 130’, Matt yells “big bull just busted the water!” We saw a huge weed line rip, birds diving, phins jumping and even saw multiple wahoo sky out of the water. All in 130’. Worked the weed line hard and only landed 1 nice bull and one little phin. Coulda swore we were gonna tear that area up. Tried to troll out to the Deli but ofcourse, the NE fan started blowing and short stacked them. Decided to run back to R7. But wind and current were ripping, so tried to run into the Betsy Ross and limit out on Bsb. Couldn’t stay on the bottom due to wind and current so we headed to the hill. All in all a good day and caught the first mahi on “Reel Cocky”

We headed in about 2:30 made a pit stop at commanche for about 30 then came on in as I worked all night then left IOP at 5:30am, gotta love fishing.
