Gene, how did ya’ll do at Edisto? That’s quite a ride to Murray! Hope you do well!
Edisto went pretty well although the weather kind of messed up the fishing for us as we got in from Jacksonville Florida about the time the weather cleared. we had a good time and got some good bonnet heads for the freezer so we are happy, no red fish though. Lake Murray was a different story. We were all over the stripers and we had two good ones on the line and lost them. I think by the time we figured it out the game changed and all we got was the two good bites. I marked a lot of fish including a school of a very large number near the large Tower. We could see them chasing bait to the surface but could not get them to bite anything we put in including live herring and all sorts of lures. Attached a couple side scans of the fish near the tower. the first pic is the large tower, second pic shows all 5 towers with the biggest one obvious.
