Since 1963, East Cooper Outboard Motor Club (ECOMC) has operated the Goldbug Island Turkey Shoot. The annual Turkey Shoot, now in its 55th year, began as a modest fundraiser to raise money for several local East of the Cooper charities. To date, our total contribution has exceeded over $300,000.
The Turkey Shoot consists of 10 participant lanes shooting either a 12 or a 410 gauge shotgun at paper targets.The closest pellet to the cross hairs wins a $20 gift card from Publix.
50/50 rounds, Kids only rounds and Ladies rounds are also part of the fun.
We sell a unique annual Turkey Shoot t-shirts (while supplies last) and have a raffle featuring items from Polly’s Jewelry!
The ECOMC Ladies Auxiliary operates a concessions stand each night of the Turkey Shoot serving hot dogs, boiled peanuts, candy, beverages and so much more!
We provide the shotguns and ammo or you may bring your own shotgun with a barrel length of 36” or less.
