this link is where I found the pattern. Of course my versions are not exactly what the pattern is shown as but it’s close enough for me. The bodies are the pearl mylar tubing as Mike said with a small glass rattle inside. The hook is actually bent a little differently from the origianl pattern, it calls for a jig hook but I just bent a hook around a little differntly to give it more of a curve to ride the bottom, it is a fun pattern to tie and I have used it about 4 times so far. I haven’t caught anything on them yet but I have seen trout following them in. The farthest one is a pattern I threw together basing it on a wooly booger with a long double feather tail. I was going fo the bait fish/ eel look. The only down side to the Gonzo is that it hurst like all get out when you smack yer noggin with it

For all of yall that dont konw, the shop hosts a get together on the first sunday of every month… we will supply enough donuts and coffee to keep you tying. This is not a class, it is simply a time for all of the tyers in the area to get together and share patterns and ideas… its free, and you can either bring your own materials or borrow the shops… beginners, dont feel left out, this is a great oportunity to learn from some really good tyers… I will host the event at the Mt. Pleasant Location.

Sadly Mike No I can’t. I have to go to Texas for about 10 days and I leave Sunday. They are saying that we may be released early so if I am home by the 6th I’ll try and be there. One of these months I will actually make it down there for one of the round tables June is looking good though. I plan on taking the entire month off for leave and fishing my butt off! I am taking my vise and stuff with me to Texas so I can tie up some more flies so I’ll be ready when I get back.
