good bite

headed out on a nice ocean looking for the bliners we caught a few weeks ago which were huge. we caught everything but! ars, grouper, bsb’s and pinks and blue runners by the hundreds. the action was pertty constant 2 at a time with the current rippin. a 20oz. weight would hit the bottom about 15’ behind the boat. water temp was 68deg. there was a thermo at 90’ and the bottom was on fire everywere we went. we only caught one bliner and 1 trigger. we were using small circle hooks and squid to try and behave. headed in on glass sippen beer and eating ceviche! got to always take megabite as he had plenty of beer for the 4hr ride behind sea tow from 17 miles out when the lower unit let go, 4th time in 2yrs? great day with auggie dog and mi

ke from fleet pride. we will be after them as soon as i can get the lower unit repaired. may need a ride from some friends the next few weeks!

If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.

I heard you talking about your catch on the radio on sat. We didn’t get into any grouper where we were out but we did wear out the vermilion.

Very nice Catch! We did extremely well, releasing over 300 sea bass, keeping our limit in 15 plus incher most in the 18-20 inch range that we kept. Limits in vermilion, lots of trigger, limits in red porgy, and lots of silver. I know how is feels to have to throw back nice fish as we release quite a few nice red snappers…

Good job guys.

Red Porgy is a Silver and is a Pinkie. Same fish - 3 names. And a charter captain ought to know this!(Baitkiller)

Marsh Grass…Red Porgy are known as Pink Porgy or Pinky’s yes.
However Whitebone Porgy, or white Porgy, or what is commonly know as Silver Snapper is what I was referring to…Thanks for trying to help but I have got it covered…If you have any concerns please go and educate yourself by purchasing a copy of Sport Fish of the Atlantic by Vic Dunaway and it will clear up your misunderstanding…

Thanks
