good bite

met thease two ladys at the waterfront this morning and asked them fot their numbers. they said they had some for $5 (not the numbers I was looking for) so we went out and tried them! did very well loading the __ with __ really big greenheads,__short pinks__triggers,__beliners__groupers and ajs by the bunches. I left my spring steel at home today to see if I could catch them on hook and line! I will say that almost every pinfish, cut bait and squid that made it to the bottom came back over the rail with a nice keeper! we were in __ft. and the surface temp has dropped to __deg, but it was a nice day. we did not see another boat all day and I’m sure we were fishing somebodys #s because the fish were there. james had the hot hand today and he and eric shot some nice groupers, sheephead and a nice lobster that weighed __lbs. (he also brang the eye candy) great day on the pond today.

If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.

So you are shooting lobster now?[:0]

JUST KIDDING!!

Glad to see someone made it out. The hopes of a Gamecock victory and the forecasted nasty weather kicking up this afternoon kept me in the upstate. Only a few more days till no more grouper for a while. Better stock up while you can.

Report was well written.

Set the trap boys, we going to pass through them again!!

Hell yes Ginny and Katy Byrd. Getcha some groceries…

Do not tell fish stories where the people know you; but particularly, don’t tell them where they know the fish.

Well done as usual Ed. I bet it was a pretty rough ride on the way out to the spot.

Jordan, planned on running my dogs sat but eric called me at 11:30 fri.saying he had to kill something! the weather would be ok if the weatherman was rite on. the ride out wasn’t bad as the wind was 10/15 out of the west. it layed down about 10:00 as predicted and the sun came out. It was chilly but fishable and the ride in just got better and better. we headed in around 2 as planned to catch the game, turned out we could have stayed and fished but the weather was supposed to get really nasty around 6pm. cleaned up the fish and boat and headed to the house by 4pm!

If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.

What’d that lobster hit on?

PR, the lobster was caught by hand, its easy to do if you are fairly quick. you can tickle them out of a hole then just grab them! they are extremely strong when that size just not very fast. we go every year to fla but down there they are smaller, and if they are out in the open its like trying to catch a small shrimp one handed in a 5 gal bucket! i have seen them caught on the thunder star on chicken rigs but it is rare. a lobster is a scavenger and usually comes out at night to scour the bottom for leftovers.

If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.

Why do none of them here have claws? It was a joke about the lobster b/c you mentioned leaving spring steel at home. That’s a long ways to go down just to look & see if a lobster is there. Wish I could dive that low. Would love to put some lobster on boil.
