Good day off work

Took today off work and headed out for some bottom fishing. Nice ride out to120 ft. Loaded up on the be-liners (limit) and triggers. Bonus was a nice mahi and one break off. Ride home was rufffffffff and wet.

Sounds like a good day! pretty far out! Didn’t know mahi were still around.

I just talked to another member from here said they got a peanut off a log in 90ft

Came off a flat line with a cigar minnow.

I’m sure it was a rough ride in. Wind was whipping in the harbor late this afternoon when I was out there.

i would post our success but considering the entire inshore community already has their panties in a wad… well ill just leave it at that

Joel,

I fished with you earlier this spring. If you recall, our captain was REELLY* tall, and we nearly got spooled by some mystery fish. My advice to you would be to let your hard feelings go, man. They’re only gonna hurt you…

We went our Friday too. Seas were great until the afternoon, but still manageable. We saw a few trees floating between 100’ and 145’, all the trees had schoolies under them. We didn’t go prepared to troll, and threw everything in the boat at them. They would chase the spoons, but would never bite. We did great on b-liners, and they were all nice size, 14"16" were the norm with barely any shorts.
