Splashed the yak about 1pm…As I’m standing in knee deep water stowing my gear,a big push comes around the corner .Had a rod rigged with a jerk bait and dropped it in front of the lead fish which had now closed to about 15’… She smashed it right at my feet! Not a bad start. The rest of the school turned and went back up the creek. Followed them and ended up with 14 solid fish measuring 27"-34".They have a good bit more “horsepower” now that the water is warming up.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. ~tight lines.
Wow that’s cool! How deep was the water you saw the push in?
17’ Mako
About 1’-2’.
Nice work!
Thanks bud,go get 'em
Good deal, Henny. Did you catch 'em all on artificials, or did you soak some live/cut bait too?

Thnx BB …used jerk baits and swim baits in " chicken on a chain" and " avocado" …when the tide bottomed out I did switch to minnows.
Opt I was pretty surprised ,but have seen them go up to 38" in this area , usually in late fall .
Very nice. Good job
Keep your lines tight and remember. Respect the fish and your fellow fisherman. Know the Code.
