Good Job Chris and Charleston Marine ( again )

Once again Charleston Marine puts personal service back into the boat repair business and comes to the rescue. Told Chris I had my son’s family coming in for 4th of July weekend but had a “sudden” problem with my Yamaha outboard. He’s so swamped with boats you can’t even get in his parking lot but somehow he makes time, two days before July 4th, and get’s my Yamaha repaired, does a 100 hour service and gets the boat back to me that day. I thought my water pump was dead and asked him to change it out. Got a call 2 hours later saying there was nothing wrong with the water pump, the hoses just needed flushed out; no charge. How many places would have gone ahead and changed the water pump anyway, or not changed it and charged me? My Mako and Yamaha will never go to any repair shop except Charleston Marine. :slightly_smiling_face:

I typically do my own work, but if comes a time when I have to take to to someone, I know where I’m going. CF can be pretty tough, but I’ve never heard anything bad about Charleston Marine.

It’s tough to beat advertising like that. I don’t personally know Top2Bottom or Old-Ranger, but I know Hairball personally and respect his opinion. His boat is 10 years old and looks and runs great because he’s meticulous in her care. An endorsement like that is as good as gold. IMO.

so that’s why I didn’t get my boat on time…

Just kidding, Chris and the gang set me up with everything I needed for my 20 hour service and even made sure I didn’t get anything I didn’t need. Top notch bunch of guys…

DocRocker,

I have had good luck with Whitton’s on Clements Ferry getting my boat out quickly.

had to take mine in this week. Thats one busy place ! Not sure how he can work on so many boats so fast, but he does and heard he is good. Very nice workers there.
