"Fished the incoming yesterday from about dead low to 3/4 full. Wish i would have made it out earlier but you know how that goes:smiley: First spot, a white gulp shrimp produced the biggest of the day. And he destroyed my white gulp. And as you would know, it was my last one. Happened to find a bag of molting gulps in the tackle bad somewhere. I was worried that white was going to be the ticket and I was out(did have some live scrimps tho). Suddenly, the wind picked up and made my spot hard to fish. Took off to the next spot and fish the molting and live shrimp and nada. Next spot ,fifth cast, got one on a hudini z man. Moved a little closer to âthe spotâ, threw the molting again and bam a 2o incher. Sat there and did this until an hour before dark. Ended up with 18 in the boat with a few that came off on the way in. Oh, and got one one a mud minner. Then went to try to catch a trout but no luck and was getting cold so headed home.
Total 18 mid slots and 1 29 incher, caught around oysters and docks

Rain plus big tides equals bad fishing conditions. Thatâs a tough bite.
Pick a stretch of river or a creek and stick to it. Get to know it, and youâll be more successful.

Good job finding the fish, and good report, JA.
PB, had the same âluckâ on Saturday in the Folly. Very frustratingâŚ
Hoof, is the rain bad JUST because of water clarity, or does it cause additional problems? Please explain.
âIâm not a hundred percent in love with your tone right nowâŚâ
Yes. Cloudy water makes bait hard to see, especially if youâre trying to use artificials.
It also makes it hard for you to see whatâs going on in the water. If youâre seeing bait and fish in the water, you are going to have a lot of confidence which is going to help you catch fish. If you are not seeing bait in the water, you can feel confident in moving.
Iâve always had the best fishing days when we havenât had rain in a while.
