Good place to gig in sand?

I just recently got a 14’ Carolina Skiff and want to rig it for flounder gigging, but not really sure of any spots to go gigging in sand, instead of mud and oysters. I’m not asking for anyone’s honey holes or anything, but looking for a place to start more than anything. Any information or advice would help. Thanks

  2. Use the search feature. Find sellsfish and giggin

  3. I’ve gigged for a number of yrs mostly on foot at OBX. I’m new to boat giggn. Less than 3 yrs…

  4. Go out in harbor. Think points, mixed bottom-shells and sand/mud, STRUCTURE. Clean water, low wind.

  5. Plenty of spots in harbor and within short rides from icw ramps.

  6. When you see 1 there are often others close.
