Good Sand Tiger Footage from 10/26 Trip

I changed the video format and finally got a youtube account so i can start sharing my gopro videos. My camera started messing up this summer and i need a new one…that’s why it goes red and back to clear off and on. If anyone has any advice please let me know and otherwise here is the youtube link and enjoy.

BTW i had no idea the shark was there during the first 2 times you see him, my camera just happened to get a good shot on him. Any estimates on weight?

Classic. The water would have gone from red to brown in the video real quick it that was me.

Awesome video, I would be interested to know how many have scoped us out like those first two passes, especially in dirty water.

absolutely- i was tripping when i first saw the video b/c i had no idea he was there and he was like 2 ft or less from my head- many situations have happened in the dirty water that we have no idea about

Makes you wonder about December and Great Whites… Nice video…

That ascent and safety stop must have felt like an eternity.

nice shark dont think i like to be with them

Skinne I am going to do my best to find a great white in december- the wreck where that sand tiger was is the stopping point for many sharks and i think the odds are good around that area- my spearfishing idol Mark Healey is a pro at riding the great whites so i hope to at least see one sometime- i guy saw one diving 170ft live bottom off central florida in July- you can find the video on youtube

Make sure you put a float on your camera so we can find it when the GW eats you.

Just sayin…

Very, very cool video! Thanks for sharing!!

Set the trap boys, we going to pass through them again!!

When the water gets colder you will learn to float fish, sand tigers can be a handfull.

That was cool. How long dod it take you to notice him? Good thing he was just a look’in.

A wise man once said “Do as I say not as I do” Good advice when I tell you that.

hellfire!

when the water gets colder we will be freediving and killing grouper and floating them wont be an issue

DUDE. That’s a nice size Sand Tiger, probly 12+ ft, 300 lbs. If it was hungry#65279; you woulda been dragged around like a rag doll.

very cool footage, how was the adrenaline spike when you saw that sucker

I can’t = I am unwilling to try

Wow. Thanks for posting that. Sandtigers get to a maximum of around ten feet in length; I’d say it was between 7 and 8 feet, 2 to 3oo lbs.

Nice video of the Sandy… They are always around, but they are not always right in front of us! I have spent a little time around sand tigers… She is close to 8 feet. Not sure of weight. Curious gurl… Not aggressive at all. Wish I could have been there!

PS: If a fly lost it’s wings, would it be called a walk?

Dang! Funny how the vid goes red everytime it shows up.

If they didnt have the scary teeth we would probably keep them as pets…Took a guy diving a few years ago and he blew 2500lbs of air in about 2 minutes. He said I came out of the stbd side of the hull and there were two of them swimming towards him and he thought it was the end.

He had never seen the mouth on a sand tiger before
