wont be for a bit but im considering getting a fiiberglass replica of either a 12lb walleye i got from a few yars back or my 36" redfish i got while stationed down here. ive looked a bit online and found a couple decet options but has anyone had a mount done locally or know of a good place to check into? any help is appreciated and pics of said places work would be great if possible.
jimmy hortman grew up here and has a taxidermy business in pawley’s island now. he donates to all kinds of local tourneys. he specializes in waterfowl, but i’d say it’s worth calling him- at least for a reference on fish replicas.

Navypuke, that is a big walleye! Go Army!!!
barbara - thanks ill look into it a bit
easy - they dont call lake erie walleye capital of the world for nothing
odds of catching a porker go up dramatically during spring spawning runs as well and every year i usually got one or 2 that were 28" or so.
X2 on Jimmy Hortman. He does good work, did a deer mount for me last winter and has quite a few fish mounts too.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

finally decided what i want to do for a fiberglass fish mount. absolutely nothing against any local taxidermist i looked at the links posted here and their work looked great, however my best man got into making fish mounts as a hobby/side business and im going with him. hell be making a 22" bass that was in 1 of the ponds we fished that each of us caught several times and told me he cant wait to make a replica of that fish. so far hes only made 1 replica, but not bad work at all!!!

fish to be remade
