Good times

Two fish, totaling 60.5lbs. for Team Pitt Crew on a non-tournament ladies day! Nieces Kaitlyn and Kristen were the lucky anglers. 32lbs 40" and 28.5lbs 37".

We would normally release these larger fish caught in the lake but it was an amazing day - the kind you dream of and fish so hard for - and the girls wanted to put them on the wall.

God is good!

Amazing day is right! Good God, those are both excellent fish. Which lake and what were you fishing with? I’m impressed.

Awesome day. Been waiting for this post…ha…seen the pix last sat morning.

You heard it here first. IF I SAY IF we have no fish kill in the next 3yrs the lake record will be broken…she is coming back yall.

Great fish and great family memories. Doesn’t get better than that. Congratulations.

Those girls will never forget that trip, please have them mounted as soon as possable! I waited to long on 34# my son caught 30 years ago and now he wont go fishing with me!

I was the first boat on the scene after they caught these and got some great pics of my own. Billy, I was wondering what was taking you so long to post some photos. It was a truly special morning for you all! Like I’ve said, I love fishing Clark’s Hill. But the notion of bigger and more fish there is fast becoming a myth!

Thanks, Fog. It took a little time to post because I’ve been pretty busy at work (audit time) and kind of worn down but I finally got around to it.

The lake has produced better this year…only a few years ago it seemed more of a challenge just to find 21" fish…now, most of the fish we are seeing (at the weigh ins and on non tournament days) are keepers with a lot of solid, fat 26-28" class fish in the mix.

The stats at the weigh-ins are showing the positive recent trends and the big fish encounters are more common.

It’s encouraging to see and I think there are a lot more big fish stories ahead on this lake, barring any fish kill like Murraymaker said. Crossing my fingers on that one because that would be a setback.

Oh yeah - don’t worry about that. That was part of the deal when we made the decision not to release those fish.

I hope some of the fish we have released will reach that size one day so someone else can get a chance at a big one.

PS - Tell you’re son to get back out there and go fishing with you. 30 years is way too long!
