Who knows of one? For 15 to 20 minutes in the morning when the unit is first turned on, the screen is split in half with one side working and the other side pixeled out. I’m inclined to think that it is a bad decoder.
Where to take this thing to find out for sure?
Thanks for any help:smiley:

They are very good and will give you a quote before they fix it. (expect a charge for the quote… they deduct it from the repair charge if you choose to repair it though)
I mean no offense to any TV repair shop, but with the cost of T.V.s most repairs are not worth it in today’s world. The price of a new T.V. is pretty close to the cost of labor and parts to repair one.
I’ve used Economy TV on 17 in West Ashley a few times. They are always very honest and reasonable with me. If it’s a relatively new TV, the cost of repair is way less than a new one. That’s a common misconception from people who take it to Geek Squad.
As life rolls on and I learn more, if I am wrong and things have changed to the point that now T.V. repair has returned to the older days and is worth it. So be it! and more power to those that do it.
