Had my first experience with the googans for the year. He was out a little early for a goog but they may have been out since the day before. I gave them every clear sign not to come by me. Well i get a big bite about a 18 to 20ft hydra sport. I lock down my reel and hold the spool. Dingus does 3/4 of a donut around me watching me fight the monster. Im pulling so hard i can see his boat very clearly being effected. I can feel my line weight and rig hitting, pounding his boat. Dingus mean while has not notice a thing. This was close to the beach where people swim. People like that are a danger. Completely unaware.
Point of story watch out for people like dingus. Its that time of year where the crowd on the water changes over.
Another example of where, “Common sense is not a common virtue”. I some how have grown patient and just watch idiots be idiots… unless a storm is overhead and googans, idiots, or schmucks get in my way and other’s ways – that’s when it’s necessary for full on rage mode. Sorry about all the line you probably lost. … had the same happen to me several times
Had a few of them yesterday at pier. It’s fun, just to watch and laugh.
Seriously, I’ve given advice and tried to help out some googans. Most of them are just learning.
Ya know, it must be nice living in Neverneverland. Remind me to come visit you, when I need a break from reality.
It is a shame that when they run a person’s credit to purchase a boat for $100,000 that they don’t somehow give away common sense as a courtesy for investing in that purchase. Had a guy load his boat much bigger than mine this afternoon and failed miserably by bouncing his new boat off a much bigger and more expensive boat…I was happy to get mine pulled out of harm’s way just in time! You can teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime, but first grasshopper must back a trailer straight, learn courtesy on the water, and know what not to do to resemble a Googan. Then he may learn to catch fish and drag the ladies aboard for sun and fun. Yeah right, who are we kidding the world needs mo-rons for stories to be told around the camp fire.
