Had a good weekend of fishing. The Navy security were running us of in a portion of Yellowhouse. Never had that happen before, but all N all they too have a job to do. Caught a number of reds but left the tags at the house and lot’s of smaller trouts. Come on cooler weather.

Pretty work. I need to work on my flounder fishing. Any suggestions on where to find them?
I’ve been in Yellowhouse when the big Navy boat plows through. They have a job to do but they also can seriously cause some damage or injury with the massive wake they can throw. One time it seriously seemed like they were trying to scare me by pretending they were going to run into me.
Meat fish mayhem looks like! Nice job!

Well Smooth Move, I’m really not the one to give concrete information on catching flounders. But I’m always going with the push of current and trolling motor keeping me near the garss/shoreline. I use a shad swim bait, 1/4 or 1/8 oz wt (ball and red is the color of choice),trout trick have landed a few and always mud minnows. I have decent luck with mm and the wts above. Patience and my key to good hook ups with trouts and flounders is a light action 7’ rod. I can feel that slight bump and I do a bit of line fishng when the winds not blowing hard. That little twitch is that of a small trout or a flounder. Don’t mean to bore you

Thinking about heading to Bushy with my son in our kayaks Sunday. My wife would love me if I could bring home a flattie.

Structure , structure, and more structure. If you’re not losing tackle, you’re not flounder fishing.
