GoPro Mount

There is a rail mount attachment you can purchase for the go pro.

Still trying to figure out the best place to put the GoPro when down rod fishing for Stripers. Since I normally have 8 rods out in rod holders I haven’t yet found the best place to record all the action. Since I have a t-top, it blocks part of the boat if placed on the bow and I’ve even used a suction mount on top of the motor, but this to is blocked by the t-top. I’ve also put it on a pole in the rear flush rod holder, but again the t-top blocks part of the boat…was wondering how others have done it…this video thing has really added a new dimension!

Like I said, use the handlebar mount on your anchor light … Put the anchor light in your running light socket … Adjust the handlebar mount (slide it up and down) until you capture the action you desire … Unless you don’t have a front socket, in which case I got nothing …

Unfortunately don’t have a front socket but do have a front rod holder that I could tie wrap it to…good suggestion…

You could just install a socket (even if you don’t wire it up) … Pretty cheap and just a small hole, some silicon, and a couple of screws … Much more secure than tie wraps … Hate to lose a $400+ camera if the tie wraps fail … Just leave the handlebar mount attached for convenience… Good luck

Well, I think I finally hit on a solution for videoing the entire boat. I have a pedestal chair in the bow… I removed the chair leaving the pedestal which is approx 1 1/2" in diameter. 1 1/2" PVC Sched 40 slides right over this…so I cut 2 12" pieces, glued them to a 45 degree fitting and bam, one end slides over the pedestal and my GoPro painters pole mount slides into the other end and extends up and out over the bow…allowing complete video of the whole boat…
just thought I’d pass this along in case others were struggling with the same problem…
