Got out last Friday

Took the Mrs. out on the Cooper for a spell Friday morning. We saw huge schools of menhaden skimming the water. Caught a lone small seatrout. She had a nice tug that bent her rod over but she failed to set the hook and lost it. Would’ve loved to see that fish. Plan to head out later today and do some wade fishing or perhaps dip my 'yak. We’ll see.

I got out last Friday as well for a couple hours in a creek off the Cooper. Tide was incoming and just above the grass when I got in, fished til about an hour before dead high.

Fished a DOA shrimp bouncing along the bottom and had a fair amount action from the trout fishing grasslines and even had a flounder hit in the middle of the creek. Probably 10 strikes, set the hook on 5, only got 2 trout and the flounder in the yak. No keepers. One keeper trout came off about a foot in front of the net.
