Maybe I should be Got2BStupid…anyways, forecast never turned as expected by 1pm, but we tried to venture out anyways. Sloppy, cold and nasty in the lowsided KW. Made it out 8 miles off the rocks and decided to head back in without ever wetting a line, that is, except for the NE salt spray! There were alot of birds working the 4th set of cans. Maybe it’s time for a Pioneer!

Way to step up. Sorry you couldn’t fish!
You need one of these. The windshield is priceless in the cold!
Wow you are preaty brave. Rode by the ocean to day and hoped that if there was any body outhere that they were oka. But sorry that the weather wasnt fit to fish. Maybe next time.
Jordan did brave it with me. Usually SailFlow and some others pan out for me, but today they were slightly late on that window I was hoping for. Still enjoyed the trip and believe it or not, if we could have been behind some curtains to eliminate some of the spray, we would have fished. No offense JimIslander, but I don’t need a sugardaddy[:0]! Oh well, always next week.

You have got to be $^&*'in me.
Thanks for the ride out Got2Go. You handled the KW very well in that slop. I had a great time being on the water despite not actually fishing. At least going out today will make going out in anything else seem like pond fishing. For being in a boat we sure did rack up quite a bit of air time.
I had hoped to get some nice pictures to post but I didn’t want to ruin my $300 camera with salt spray so the pictures will have to wait. Normally I don’t bother posting a report without any pictures since that is what most people come for anyways.

jordan-told you so on our last trip. welcome to the real world of offshore fishing.

That’s right!! In a smaller boat such as mine, airtime and spray are just part of the offshore experience!![:0] Unless you take forever to get out there…

I guess it all comes down to the person’s comfort level…
I don’t have a big boat, but it handles well (to me anyways). I have seen a 20’ KW dual console with basically the same hull. So, I guess in theory it should handle the same, and with the windshield, possibly keep you from getting sprayed so much…
I have a buddy that owns a Grady WA, and he always refers to my boat as a “bath boat”…

Amen brother, we headed out at 3 pm and we had curtans, thank God!
We was watching that spray go over the boat and never got e slightest wet. Hell we never even got cold until we hit Shem Creek at 8 pm.
Nice ride in but it was hell going out. We were able to stay in the trough at about 20 knots going out and 27 plus comng in. Only slowed down for the dark.
Fishing on the bottom is like having sex with the lights turned off. It feels good but I wanna see it.
Lights On!
Yes really! Going offshore in the dead of winter in bay boats or side console boats in challenging sea conditions.
Not disrespecting your opinion, Mike, this is the same hull as the CC Adventure, not a bay hull. This hull is well known to be pretty dry. Regarding the side console, I can’t speak for anyone else, but I personally don’t have any issues with driving 3 feet off center. To each his own.
I love my “POS” bayliner trophy. Stay pretty dry. And when it gets sloppy just let the spray wash the windshield and stay seated… I’ve always wanted a nice CC and dad always says, “you get so wet in a CC”…Guess it’s true when the seas act up
