Got2Go 12/2/11 Harbor Sheeps

I had the pleasure of taking a good friend from church the other morning sheepshead fishing. We launched the boat at a quite chilly 8am with a bunch of sluggish fiddlers. The Skipster told me he had little experience fishing, but come to find out that he had zero, zilch, none. Oh my, I thought, what have I done taking a “newbie” out fishing for sheepshead on their maiden voyage. Well, the Lord gave me more patience that day than I may have ever had. The Skipster listened to me,observed, and learned everything from how to launch a boat to how to rig, well, basically everything you could teach and share with someone in 5 hours. So, to the fishing…the water temp was around 59 at the jetties with an annoying NNE breeze that made anchoring up right next to the rocks a little trickier than expected. Well, the fishing was a I expected except that the sheepshead that bit his line were biting more like hungry reds than sheepshead. We were back at the ramp at 1pm with nothing but smiles. The day wasn’t epic in numbers of fish, but it was the most satisfying day of fishing I’ve had in my life. So, get ya’ some fiddlers,a few friends and go get you some fat sheeps ‘cause they are chompin’!

Good for you Andy!
