Nothing special, fished south today in 70’. Tons of cbass, but had to sort through alot of smaller ones to get a keeper… Tried moving around today, alot. It was nice to see the anchor kicking up a rooster tail 85’ behind the boat and much easier! Story for today, was fishing buddy got seasick 20 minutes into the fishing as we were pulling up 3 cbass a drop. 25 minutes later, rogue wave pitches the boat and my father takes a faceplant into the fiberglass with a busted eye! Only actually fished for maybe 1.5hrs…Back at it Saturday!
Sucks about your buddy and dad…Hope you have more success tomorrow…I was supposed to be out there today, hit the lake instead (bad idea…) was friggin cold & wet
Fished today in about 70’ of water…got to the area I was hoping to work and a commercial boat was already locked in…caught a few cbass, but left after a while…still trying to learn and find some good bottom…spent most of the day looking hard and finished up w/ some fat cbass and 3 undersized groupers in 50’. I will not quit…back at it Monday-Friday weather permitting!
went out today in 60 to 70 feet of water…tons of bsb’s…caught the limit…had to go through the small ones to get them…found really good bottom and caught over 40+ redfish…the redfish were all 30"+…seemed like mullet, squid, and shrimp all worked the same…also caught a few small grouper…beautiful day on the boat.
