Originally, I was suppose to fish with another buddy today, but some more important things came up. So, luckily for me, Roy at Pioneer Boats did a turn and burn on my boat. I drove to Walterboro early Friday morning to pick-up the Got2Go just a week or so from dropping it off. Quick, high-quality, and affordable is all I can say! Now, to the trip. We left Remley’s around 9am with a picnic lunch and bundled up. I opted to head into the teeth of the NE, but after a few miles, I had to change course due to my father’s look,
. So, we just started heading south and playing around with random Maps Unique numbers in 50-70ft. We fished 4000 size spinning reels with 20lb braid and light jigs on rods that were better suited for red fish than red snapper, but we managed,
. Ended up with 8 bonita, some knothead cbass, few sharks, and a dozen or so 3lb red snappers. It was a fun day for sure and enjoyed exploring almost as much as the time with my dad. Water temps were showing mid 60’s which seemed warm to me. Anyone else have some temp readings from 50-70ft?
