Despite the forecasts, I talked Lynn into an afternoon trip that looked to offer us a window of opportunity. My plan was to fish for sheeps and if the wind layed down or the sheeps were reluctant, then off to catch some cbass and stuff.Well, we anchored up on a good piece of structure and were greeted by a ripping current around 12:30pm. You needed about 2oz to get down to the bottom 50ft below, but could have easily used 4oz! We ended up catching 5 sheeps in 1.5hrs with 6# and a 4# in the mix. But, the bite didn’t seem right, so after much nagging from Lynn (and, I’m so glad you did ), we headed out to bottom fish. The bottom bite was on fire and we quickly filled the cooler with fat 16" cbass. We caught a lot of other “stuff”, too, but must have lucked out since they are all endangered. Ran back in @ 40-45mph in the bayboat to a beautiful sunset and flat ocean. Thanks for the fellowship and trip, Lynn. Bill, appreciate the help this morning cleaning the fish and everything, again .

I’m glad Andy finally gave in to my “nagging”! The sheeps were just not cooperating very much at all. That new spot that I have been wanting to try worked out lovely though…
