Got2Go 4/18/15...Ice Cream with no Brownies

First off, I opted to post this because I appreciate those that post on here. I’m still not on Facebook or any other social media, so other than friends calling me and telling me what’s up, I can glance at current and past reports to help me gauge what the fish may be doing. So, PLEASE don’t just be a lurker or basher, but share with others your trips. So, enough of that…

The plan was to troll yesterday, but I was too wore out after working another night shift. So, deprived of sleep and crew (my couple of locks fell through the cracks,), decided to go look for cobia off our coast. I had the boat wet by 9am, actually 8am due to the all the rain. I fished my arse off until 2pm as my body was wore out…3 hrs of sleep in 54hrs will do that to you! I made my Bill Dance milk run of areas (40’-100’) I normally try and didn’t get a visual or bite from a brownie. I did manage some jumbo cbass and around 30 ajs on topwaters, jerkbaits, and other misc. lures that have my tender elbow throbbing today. Thanks DoubleN for that as the ajs approved the jigs! It was a peaceful day out there with a flat ocean and lots of life. I fished one area in relatively shallow that had a school of flying fish in it.
Looks like I will be blown out Monday, :imp:. Later Tater.

thx for the report- must be nice to be young and gung ho

Good report and thanks for sharing. They should be out there now. This weather has to cooperate longer than a few hours.

You make a great point worth restating. I quit posting on this site for many years. I got tired of the people lying in wait for someone to make a small mistake they could call them out on. I decided to start contributing again under a new name couple of years ago because it did not seem fair to use the information on here without contributing something. The truth is those folks are a minority and not worth concern, and the vast majority of folks are helpful and aporeciative. In fact, this forum is way friendlier than most to the non-regulars and visitors. The more reports we get, the better off we all are.
