Been a long time coming, but finally got a decent day to fish. Me, D, and BFR (Big Fush Randy) loaded up the Pioneer 197SF and eased under the Cooper River Bridge under a setting full moon. Trolling tackle, bottom tackle, jigging tackle…we had all kinds of stuff on board with no specific plans. Pulled the reigns on the Got2Go when we found some bottom too good to pass on our way to the wahoo grounds. Within 2hrs, we did some Knot @ Work kinda damage on em, . With already a load of triggers and usual suspects, headed out around SW Banks to troll. Trolled a good spread, but nothing to show for it despite working an area that had some birds and jumbo flyers getting chased. Loaded and locked down, boys settled in bean bags and let the 150 eat, . Great first trip of 2018!
Thanks D and BFR for all the work AND fun yesterday.
It was a full moon grind but we got on the meat for sure. Thanks again for the invite. I’ll try to take more photos next time lol.!Kept a bunch of quality fish but alas this scamp had to go back for another month
Freezer jammed with vacuum packs of trigger good times
42-47 gallons, about 150 miles with motor never off and loaded down…that’s my best guess cause I ran the boat yesterday in the Upper Cooper River yesterday for another few hours with the family before filling up. Most I’ve ever burned was like 57 and I left Charleston and trolled SW Banks to about 7 miles NE of the Hole. The boat sips it like you should sip a good bourbon.
