Well, nothing to report on them. Checked out a few areas, but found the water temperature to be a little chillier than expected, 65-67. Anchored up and chummed anyway on one area despite not marking or seeing anything to my liking. Headed offshore after no cobia or spade sightings and played with 2-3# cbass and 20-40lb amberjack on jigs. It was all fun and games until I casually went to unhook an AJ. Before I knew it, a stinger hook was buried really, really deep in my palm. Tried popping it out with heavy mono, but couldn’t. Toughed it out for awhile as Derek continued the AJ bashing, while I self-medicated with some over the counter adult beverages. Smooth ride in as I headed to the doctor when I got home. Hook out and painkillers in by 9pm, ! I’m going to get my revenge with a piece of the culprit tonight, grilled and marinated in a honey/chile sauce along side a sweet potato and grilled asparagus!
Thanks for riding along again, D. If you want, post that pic of my hand if you get time.

The florida guys are catching cobia good right now. They should be showing up here in good numbers before long.

Been there…done that…Those hooks suck! I pushed a No. 9 Owner through and cut it off with the side cutter on the crimpers. We then had the brilliant idea to squirt bleach through the hole to sterilize it…DON’T EVER DO THAT!!!

I tried, but didn’t have quite enough liquid courage. That was a nice doormat you had, too.
