Got2Go 5/12/14 An Angler's Dream

I had the pleasure of finally fishing with Jordan yesterday on his boat, Angler’s Dream. We headed out around 6am with myself, Northchucky, Capt. Jordan, and his friend, Chuck. It didn’t take long before we were dropping some steel down at the ledge that D had his rod bowed. A nice warm-up for the day to play with some AJs. So, as we poked around in shallower, the water didn’t seem to lively so we pushed out. We finally pulled back around 1100’ or so and put the spread out. It didn’t take long for the flat line to start screaming. We put Chuck on the rod, and a few minutes later, he was officially introduced to the “good life”. We found a slight rip forming and around 11am the dinner bell must have rang as 5 lines went off. Controlled chaos turned into 5 fatties into the boat. Over the next hour picked up 2 more and had several short strikes that would couldn’t capitalize on. So, around 2pm, we pulled lines and ran in for some bottom dropping. For the next 2hrs we finished off the boxed with triggers, pinkies, cbass, and bliners. A great day on the water and a nice break to fish on another boat. Thanks again for the invite Jordan and the fun, safe, and productive day on the sea.

Thanks for coming along Andy. It was a fun day on the water despite the slow action on the troll. Remember how the water was green and cold in 1400’ and turned blue and warmer back in 100’? My friends were out diving and said that the water in diving depths was amazing with near 100’ of viz. I did see two peanut dolphin free jump in 130’ on the way out. I wonder if we should have just trolled on that.
