Well, I managed to put a 5-man crew together in less than a day Monday. We fished out away from the pack in the AM and found some dolphin offshore of the EB in about 250’. It was fairly slow, but we picked one up here and there for a while. After getting about a half dozen, we started hearing a lot of chatter about billfish being sighted and a couple hooked up and about a thick weedline having been seen in 600 feet the day prior, so we ran out deep to find nothing there, and then over to the parking lot to see what the chatter was all about, but I think their bite had shut down by the time we got there. The radio was silent, and we got a skipjack in about a half hour there. There were a LOT of boats there, and I figured they had been hammering them all day (and I really don’t like fishing among large quantities of boats, and prefer being off to ourselves if we can find fish elsewhere). So, we headed back south a little and found another little trashline with some dolphin schools on it and caught three or four more rather quickly and headed in.
We ended up with the following:
10 Dolphin
2 Skipjack
The ocean was beatiful yesterday. Thank God for another good, safe day on the water with fine friends and safe return to all our loved ones.

And I had to tease Penny, we may have not had any girls in pink bikinis (for those who follow the weekend cut pics) but we had some pretty pink toes . . .
Penny (et all), glad you had a great day. Looks like you had fun too. We fished with all the other boats s. of 226 on a LONG weed line. Picked at them until 12:00 when bite shut down. Came in to ledge and picked a few more. Highlight of day was dropping lines to bottom in 165’ over good structure and immediately pulling up a nice trigger fish and pinky. Glad you all got to go out on such a beautiful day!
