Gotcha Covered Thurs North

Got 2 blackfin right away in the morning, then it slowed down abruptly, as the boats started packing in; so, we left and went south about 15 miles or so. Got 3 wahoo (a 40, a 45, and a 50 lb-er) and 2 dolphin there. Three more wahoo bit off my flourocarbon.

Totals:

2 blackfin
2 dolphin
3 wahoo – Weighed at the dock = 40 lbs, 45 lbs, and 50 lbs.

I’ll post some pics when Jerms zaps them over to me.

Not too bad, but I wish I had waited it our back there with you, Skineej. Y’all were smart to wait it out.

I enjoyed having y’all on the boat today, guys. Some of the nicest guys I’ve met. Welcome on my ride any old time.

P.S. The sea was awsome today. We ran 61.5 MPH on the ocean. Ran 231 miles and burned 260 gallons of gas.

Gotcha,

Nice job on the Hoo! Do mind sharing what you busted them on? Saw your boat last weekend. Very Nice!

This may sound like a put off, but it isn’t. I think they literally hit everthing we had in the water today.

Nice job Lee…Ricky said the boat rode nice.

Nice job. Nothing wrong with that talley at all.

260 gallons - no wonder my insurance costs so much.

good going on your day. those are some grown ledge zebras you put in the boat.

Thanks for the trip gotcha. Awesome day on the water. In an unrelated subject, God showed mercy on me with the wallpaper I had to rip down when I got home. More specificially, my fiancee had already done it when I got home! And yes, Carla Dee, that 50lber might have ended up in the fishbox, but he wore me out in the process! My first wahoo :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s nothing; my boat has gone over 60 plenty of times…everytime I drive it down the interstate!

Gotcha, I appreciate the trip and the company was great. I didn’t know what to expect coming out there with you guys other than being with a bunch of other people that loved to fish. The conversation was great between bites; I learned a lot and had a great time. The boat rode great, especially on the ride home where I got to sleep for about an hour. Thanks again.

Glad we ran into the wahoo at Gotcha’s “secret wahoo spot.” We had a few more cut us off that took some decent drag. I would have loved to have had three more wahoo in the box. That’s fishing.

Drumreaper and Gotcha are both quieter in real life than they are on the internet. Well, Gotcha still talks alot, but at least I don’t have to read it and I can just nod and pretend like I’m listening.

TravelinJack and Keywest15 both got their first wahoos and Jerms caught his personal best hoo. It was a great day for all the anglers. I believe that was Drumreaper’s first tuna too.
