Gotchacovered trip#2

From the pictures, I think I counted 14 different people on that boat… Did you guys harvest the man eater or let him go?

Mhm, Grilled Mako Pizza. Haha nice trip guys. One day i would like to make a trip out to the open waters but alas. All I have is a piece of wood to float on. Be a interesting story tho.

Excellent pics! Wish I could’ve been there with yall! Well, minus the “touching” and all.

Penny,

Thanks for being on the boat with 6 guys. We had a great time and you were such a pleasure. Enjoyed fishing with everyone and learned quite a lot from captain Lee. He is a very capable captain who knows his boat, knows his gear and knows how to fish! That was my first Mako and it was sure fun. My arms a still a little sore. He hit a medium ballyhoo with green/yellow skirt while I was letting the line out with rod still in hand. I thought we had a big bull mahi.

Great day on the water. Glad Lee decided to venture out with us. the ocean laid down nicely and fishing was very comfortable.

Lee, thank you for a memorable trip!</font id=“size3”>

Mako is awesome grilled and fried, its really good pan seared with Kens brand marinades then on the grill… what ever you’d like to taste… 1/2 ince to and inch is a great thickness. The sooner you clean them the better they taste. Thanks for the great pictures.

sshaarda…it was a pleasure to fish with all of you too…and I want to thank all of you for not minding having a “girl” tag along[:I].,glad you caught the shark…while some consider them a nuisance I think they can be a lot of fun to catch…as long as they dont mess of too much bait and fish in the process:smiley:…hope to fish with all of you again one day

Makos aren’t a nuissance (unless you’re tuna fishing).

You know you’re always welcome, Penny. And you know none of us thought you were any girly burden. We enjoyed your company, and you even brought me some food! That was thoughtful of you. So, just stop it. You’re not a girl; you’re a woman, and one that earns her keep with the best of the men. You catch on fast, cooperate, and aren’t too proud to learn something. I think you did exceptionally well for your second trip to the blue water–as well as any man has with the same level of experience, frankly. You’re also a conscientious person, which I like. I think you’ll be giving some old salts a run for their money in no time.:smiley: Seriously, except for that rod you dropped in the water, I thought you were great.

LOL. Just kidding!! She didn’t drop any rod in the water. Penny’s a great gal.

Lee- I hope I get a chance to fish with you some time. I dont want to drive the boat for one second I want to work the pit.I would just like to ride in a boat that is as nice as the one you have.I also know how to clean one up as well as anyone can.It may have come from my Military up bringing. Everything spick and span. Great report and hope to see more in the next few weeks.
