GPS Apps

Hey everyone. How are you all doing? Have a question for you all. My GPS just went out on my unit and I have a planned vacation trip to Panama City Beach Florida in which I am pulling my boat down to fish the inshore and maybe 2 or 3 miles out offshore. Do any one know any good Marine GPS/Chartplotter Apps I can download to use while I am down there to get me around the water to and back from a fishing spot??? Any help would be appreciated…

navionics is great.

Yeah that is what I am being told tridogs

2nd Navionics. The free version is all you need. Has a lot of good stuff on there. I went out w some folks in Florida and it put us right on top of structure, pretty accurate around here as well. Good for measuring distance to.

Aqua Map Marine also works pretty well for something short term like that. I haven’t used Navionics yet to compare against though.

I use GPS Waypoints Navigator on my Android phone as my backup. The free version only allows you to record about 10 waypoints but the pay version (was either $7 or $9) has unlimited storage. I used this 2 years ago at Panama City Beach when fishing down there.
PM me from you need some waypoints. I have about a dozen I would be happy to share with you.

Are you staying somewhere tha t will let you keep your boat on site? I am heading down in July but can’t keep my boat on site so I’m not taking it.

I use the non-free version of Navionics on Android as Plan B in case my Humminbird dies. Love my Humminbird 898c HD SI w/ Navionics+ charts.
