I am getting ready to buy a GPSMAP 441s and if you buy the g2 Vision card you get a $200 rebate. In essence, you end up getting a $259 card for $59. Everyone I have talked to and all I have read on the net indicate it is a really useful and cool feature. My only regret is that is covers specific areas so you have to pick a coverage map that you most boat in. I am an inshore boater so I believe it would probably benefit you even more since you go offshore.

Not to hyjack thread Sniper, but does anyone know a trick to a raymarine c120 to get a new card to read correctly? Bought a boat with this thing and got a lake card that it won’t read. It is the correct card, etc. but I’ve tried everything. I can’t see how this would be so difficult but I’ve never been accused of being the brightest.

The card adds a lot more chart detail, land images and 3D fisheye views, depth contours, buoys, channel markers, and enables navigate to function.

Check out this thread, same topic

Call Raymarine, they will walk you through it. They are good people and will be glad to help.
