GPS/Fishfinder any suggestions?

I am in the market for a new GPS Fishfinder combo and wondered if you guys have any opinions. I want to stay around a thousand or less, but want to get something simple but effective. thanks for any input

I have the Garmin 541s I think I paid like $669 for mine. Nice little machine very user friendly. The S on the end of the numbers stands for Sonar so they come with the transducer. You can get the units without it if you only need a GPS and not a bottom machine.

Yea it did and I use it for everything it was worth its weight in gold last shrimping season

Humminbird is my choice. 987C with Navionics charts.
