I have noted on my garmin and other brands of my friends’ that the battery warning goes off quite frequently. Seems to happen when the
battery is known to be in good shape and well charged. Does anyone else note this and/or know a cause?
My weak battery alarm was tripping because of a poor ground connection behind the dash on my Garmin 441S. Voltage on meter was reading 12.6 while running, but the 441S was showing 8.8 volts at the same time.
…Politicians aren’t the “Oldest Profession”, but the results are still the same!!!
Does it do it when you are cranking the engine? My Garmin alarms too,but only during cranking -perfectly normal because the voltage will drop under the high cranking load.
Yes, it happens then and at other times also. Now that I think of it,
it must just be warning you that it is on and draining charge.
