Do any of ya’ll use a GPS to mark your spots? I have been thinking about getting one of the little hand held units and I was hoping someone could recommend one.
Thanks,
Matt

I don’t use one personally, but I know a lot of folks that use and reccommend the Garmin E-Trex series. National Geographic also makes some great topo map and chart software that you can download into the GPS units. I need to get one!!!

Thanks for the help- I’ll have to check the E-trex out - I’d definitely like to get one just so I don’t have to try to remember every hole I find.
I have the E-trex Legend and I love it! I’ve had mine for almost 3 years now and have not been easy on it. Very easy to use, decent storage for maps if you so choose, and it’s been with me on the water, to Iraq and Antarctica and back and never skipped a beat.
If I were to buy another I would get a color screen, though. I paid around $135 for mine at Circuit City because they honored any advertised price, and I found a good one online somewhere. Hope that helps.
Hey whtz, if your going to mount it on a yak, the size makes a lot of difference. Plus get one with a color screen. I’ve got a tarpon 140 and mounted my e-trex vista c right above my cup holder.

Thanks for the help guys - I think that I am going to go with one of the etrex nodels definitely with a color screen.
