GPS Problems ?

A buddy and I have been experiencing problems with our Lowrance HDS-7 units over the last couple of weeks.

The units have been having troubling getting satellite signals.

Sometimes it may take 30 minutes or longer for the unit to recieve enough signal for the GPS to operate.
I had the problem at Lake Marion.
He has had the problem at Georgetown yesterday.
It is sporadic, not consistent.

Has anyone else been experiencing similar problems?
If so, do you know the reason?

I noticed my cell phone’s reception has pretty much sucked yesterday and today. dropping calls in areas I’ve never experienced problems before.
