I need some advice from offshore pro’s on where to mount my outrigger bases on my hard top. The welder originally wanted them on the corner of the hard top but I read someplace you put them 2-3 feet in front of your pole holder and then I could not use the pole holders on the hard top?..need some help here as I have never used outriggers before. X marks the spot I was thinking of installing them. Pro’s and Con’s of this approach? Recommended location?
I got Taco expandable outriggers having a base plate welded onto the hard top for added security in rough seas.
