Grand Slam 7/26

Headed out of Dewees this morning on the poledancer around 6:00am. Now on the way to get some live bait. Seas were not bad but not good by any means. Bait wasn’t hard to get. Finally started catching cigar minnows again!!! Loaded up on those and other baits and headed to the snapper grounds. First few drops were all sharks, with the exception of a few vermillions & BSB. After a few hours of messing with them a big red hits. Boom! 20 pounder hits the deck. Next drop… Boom! Nice king hits the deck. Next drop… Boom! Nice grouper hits the deck. Then it was back to the shark frenzy for hours. I decided to throw on half a cigar minnow and see what would happen… And sure enough a 27 pounder slams it. Through him in the box and headed in. Slow day for red snapper but great quality fish. Lost some studs due to the rocks. Ended the day with a few vermillion & BSB, nice king & grouper, a trigger, and two monsta snappas.

Very nice mixed bag, especially the ARS. I have noticed very few anglers posting depth and bait info of late, so I thank you for sharing the bait (I am a bit jealous!). How deep were you, if you don’t mind me asking? (No, I am not asking for numbers, but feel free to include these, JK! :))

We are staying steady in 90-100 feet of water. These #'s are top secret hahah.
