grand strand shrimping? NOT A REPORT!

Anyone know if it’s worthwhile to shrimp in the murrells inlet or Little River area? I lived in Charleston for 10 years and always shrimp there but I moved away for a few years and have now moved back to the Grand Strand. I know Georgetown is decent but if I don’t have to go that far I’d hate to. is there any worthwhile areas to try and Little River or murrells inlet? Not looking for anyone to give away a secret spot just wondering if it’s worth the trip to try.

most folks around here head further south for shrimp. I used to ctch them in the backwaters with a seine years ago around little river and Cherry Grove, but I dn’t know of anyone who shrimps around herenow.

Its to sandy in both of those places. You need pluff mud. Go to Winyah Bay.

I’ve seen people shrimping at Little River, but they always say the shrimp are really small. All I ever find is good bait shrimp. Every now and then we’ll get a medium or large one, but it is very rare. I’d stay down South if I were you.

I am heading to Georgetown Tuesday. Will let you know the result
