Are there any Grass Carp remaining in Lake Murray?
Why do Grass Carp not eat alligator grass?
Is there any hydrilla coming back?
Thanks, Fishless

I saw a dead one floating last week.

Thank you Joby. About how big was it?
Looked like about thirty inches. If I remember right they said they would only eat a lot for about eight years then die.

I, for one, will be more than happy when they all die and some grass returns to the lake. Might not be a popular view with the millionaire home owners around the lake, but getting rid of all the grass has hurt the fishing.

Thanks for the responses. I, too, would not argue with a little hydrilla.
I did a little research which indicates grass carp prefer and rarely eat anything but submerged grasses. Hence the abundance of alligator grace.
