Hope you boys have been getting out there. Caught this guy on a new crab fly I tied up. It worked great when I presented it right. The fish were REAL skittish but, I still abused a couple of them (and then returned them back to the water happy and healthy). Fish were everywhere and I didn’t get off the water til the sun burned out. Here is what one of them and my “new tie” looked like. Glad I brought the 9wt. I also had the 7 wt along but, I really needed the stopping power of the 9. The grass was thick and I don’t think the 7 would have been a good choice. Now for a couple sips of Irish Whisky and off to bed. It was a long day.

Grass Reds are fun. Good job. i catch them at my Dads house all the time in the grass with the Fly rod. a lot of fun.
