The hubster helped run the boat for the crew today. Not a charter boat.
Sixteen blackfin, the largest weighing in at 33(official weight), after having been bled, and they had several more in that same size range. Biggest wahoo was 61 (official weight). Some nice dolphin also, but they did not weigh those officially. They ran out of ice and room for any more fish. They were back at the dock by 3 pm.
He has worked very hard on that boat, and was rewarded today. B did not get home from work last eve until 11, and only had a couple of hours of sleep before fishing today.
Excellent day for them…I have so much fish, I am not sure what to do with it all…JK…not about the amount of fish, I have already given quite a bit away.
The rest is still sitting in a cooler on my kitchen floor.
Good people…good times…I stayed home to take care of the pup, since I had already cancelled the boarding for the pup.
But hey, I have fish, and did not even get up early…
All I can say is that I am very happy for the crew, and I am glad that B helped put them on a few fish.
Congratz on a great day to Allen and crew. That’s excellent catchin’ (as opposed to fishing) for anyone. You’re being modest, Fran. I hope we do half that well on Thursday. Allen, let me know what you think about what I sent you once you try it.

I hear you on that. No doubt. BTW, from the reports, it looks like a lot of people did well today. It’s cranking up nicely. Your boys did exceptionally well. What kind of pups?

One was a stray, rescued from a person who posted the pup’s pics on the other site, he, the pup, not the poster, is now about 30 months old. The “younger pup” is a chocolate lab, that someone had for three months and could no longer keep. Had papers and all, but I told them when I took the dog that I was going to have him “fixed”. Paid for that, and a hernia repair operation. He is not quite 9 months old, and is 80 pounds.
The two dogs are absolutely great together, even though the little one is now bigger than the old one. I can leave the old pup free to run in the house, but I still need to keep the young one in the puppy crate, or take him to the kennel, especially for a long day of fishing.
Both dogs are already trained to respond to hand signals…I did that because of my other old dog who lost his hearing.
Both dogs know sit, stay, lay down, come here, and other assorted commands through hand signals only. Pretty smart pups, no formal training, just me.
That’s pretty cool, Fran. I’m kind of an animal person myself. Got two German Shepherds. That’s my purdy girl in the avatar.
Thanks for posting the report. Allen sent me an email earlier, but I’m glad y’all posted because it’s a worthy report. I’ll stop by the Fat Boy and say hi sometime.

Yes, we FINALLY had a great day! It all came together with a good crew and Capt. Brian putting us on the fish. I should just quit fishing for the year, as that will be tough to beat!!!
I’m back and I’ve promised to behave this time.
I want to be like Fritz when I grow up.
Edisto-Fisher is my hero…internetly speaking.
My heart is in Antarctica.
Lone Ranger is a tool…man.
good stuff. too bad you weren’t on the boat. i’m sure that you would have drummed up 4 or 5 billfriends to top the day off right.
