Great Day! mixed bag

Started day with decent water 2ft plus wind chop. put up curtains and continued at about 28mph. Fished between 70’-105’ all day with non-stop action from trolling to bottom critters. Wind calmed down for a beautiful ride in about 4:00pm. 7- Kings,5-amberjack,6-tuna trolling…1-cobia, 11-vermillion,12-ARS(endangered LOL)2-hogg snapper,6-BSB,1-grouper bottom drifting.:sunglasses:

Solid day for sure. Well done.

“I’m not a hundred percent in love with your tone right now…”

Nice. Thx for posting + pics; I know after a long hot day it can be an arse pain to do so.

What do you do with all those kings? I like them fresh but have tried freezing them even vacuum sealed they end up very fishy. Also you pull all the worms on the AJs? I filleted one, one time but wasn’t about to deal with all those worms

Hi turk.,we love the kings fresh too but bleed/ice is key plus when freezing add water to protect fillets and grill/blackened or smoke them within the year for best. As for the AJs, keep it simple, we use only the backstraps (loin above the ribs to about to anal fin) a lot of waste but what you get is delicious. Great for fish tacos blackened on grill (do not overcook)!!! :sunglasses:
